Superyachts Prediction and A&amp;A in Portofino, Italy

Pictured here in the quaint Italian fishing town of Portofino during this past summer season are the two Dutch-built superyachts Prediction and A&amp;A. The 43-metre Prediction was built by Hakvoort in 1991 to a design by Diana Yacht Design with an interior by Felix Buytendijk. Her owner went on to build another yacht at the same shipyard in 2000, named Lady Duvera. On her port side lies the classic 44.7-metre Feadship superyacht A&amp;A, built in 1966 as Westlake III. At the time of her launch Westlake III was the first Feadship to feature a fully-raised wheelhouse. Her extended travels over the years give this well-maintained legend a colourful history.

The Dutch superyachts Prediction and A&A in Portofino

Known as hull number 798 during her build, she was launched at Feadship’s Royal Van Lent facility in 2008 with interior and exterior styling by John Munford Design. The luxury yacht has cruised the world extensively and is privately used by her American owners, who previously owned a 43 metre Hakvoort, Lord Jim (now Prediction). 67.75m superyacht Archimedes in St Barth

Her exterior is designed by Diana Yacht Design, and she features an interior by Felix Buytendijk, which offers a perfect balance of classical and avant-garde styling. Powered by wtin Caterpillar 3508 DI-TA engines, she cruises at a gentle 12 knots, with a top speed of around 15 knots. In 2002 the yard delivered <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/704">Campbell Bay</a> (now called Cracker Bay), which looks very similar to Lady Duvera. Lady Duvera wasn't the owner's first Dutch built superyacht, he also owned an <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/849">Amels</a>, and another <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1283">Hakvoort</a>.By Maarten Janssen

Superyacht Archimedes cruising off Ushuaia

Recently the Feadship Royal Van Lent facility in De Kaag was visited by Merijn. During his visit Van Lent was working on three projects and they also announced that they were going to start the construction of another series of three Vantage F45’s. Currently at the outfitting stages were two Vantage F45’s and one custom 68m, which would soon be accompanied by another 65m custom yacht.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/123061/image/large-04a1742743af82f00e5eabb202cfe9c1.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/123061"> Both Vantage yachts were pretty well underway, but won’t be launched before the end of the year. The first one to be launched is <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/93">hull 797</a> which should be completed by the beginning of next year. <a href="#managed-by-application" data-legacy="true" data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/94">Hull 799</a>, the third Vantage yacht, will be delivered in 2008.
