Portofino Regate di Primavera 2023 is an invitation-only sailing event filled with some of the best-known Italian boat manufacturers. The regatta returns in June, and will include all of the traditional events, as well as a few new ones. The season’s most important event, the Rolex Giraglia, comprises three days of inshore racing from Sanremo/Saint-Tropez to Genoa.

Moving to collaborations further north, details will also be unveiled regarding a brand-new 26-metre project with Dutch yard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/2948" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Van der Valk Shipyard (Company)">Van der Valk</a>, for which <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/908" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Hot Lab (Company)">Hot Lab</a> are responsible for the interiors and has exteriors penned by <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/43" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Cor D. Hot Lab set to celebrate successful 2019 with fourth annual Rendez-vous

With Hot Lab's fourth annual Rendez-vous event just around the corner, we take a look at some of their exciting designs in the works.

The Italian shipyard <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1726" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Arcadia Yachts (Company)">Arcadia Yachts</a> has announced the launch of two of its latest superyachts: the third hull of the A105 motor yacht and hull 16 of the A85 motor yacht. As with the prior units of the model, the third A105 superyacht features exterior and interior design developed by the Italian studio <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/908" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Hot Lab (Company)">Hot Lab</a> created in collaboration with the Naples-based yard. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/81647/image/large-c12ec3b392386a5f699b7f5303d1dfb7.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/81647"> In terms of layout, the third Arcadia 105 differs from her predecessor, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6017" href="https://sya.superyachttimes.com/news#managed-by-system">RJ&nbsp;</a>which made her debut at the <a href="https://sya.superyachttimes.com/news#managed-by-system">Cannes Yachting Festival 2018</a> and recently won the <a href="https://www.superyachttimes.com/yacht-news/world-superyacht-awards-2019-winners">World Superyacht Awards</a> in the “Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts 30-32.9 metres” category.&nbsp;Whereas <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/6017" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="RJ31.57m (103'7&quot;)Arcadia Yachts2018">RJ&nbsp;</a>is laid out to house 10 guests across five staterooms, the accommodation on board the third 105 comprises four cabins with a small living room in the forward area which can be transformed into a suite with a sofa bed if necessary. <img src="/uploads/store/photo/81649/image/large-7eadda82eb4f1df268bcf54e2082559d.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/81649">The interior design was conceptualised in order to convey a feeling of freshness and lightness on board, with vibrant and sunny colours highlighted by the white surrounding background. The third 105 also features the high-efficiency solar panels characteristic of <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Company/1726" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Arcadia Yachts (Company)">Arcadia&nbsp;</a>yachts.&nbsp;Unlike her predecessor, the 31.57-metre vessel will be used for charters, and is due to cruise for six months in the Mediterranean Sea and for six months among the Caribbean islands. Just months after Arcadia Yachts unveiled their collaboration with Milanese studio Hot Lab on its new A105 model, the Italian shipyard has announced the sale of the second unit in this new line.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/28778/image/large-8985a24c44fcd9b7188247b1c66723f5.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/28778">Destined to hit the water at the end of the 2019 season, the project is, according to Director Ugo Pellegrino, the success of a constant investment in the company over the past few years.&nbsp;“This result was achieved in part by an investment of over 30 million euro in recent years. Our production facility is one of the most modern in the entire Mediterranean and, despite the fact that we have yachts worth a total of around 40 million euro in build, we are still only using a part of our actual production capacity.”<img src="/uploads/store/photo/28781/image/large-2b5a58e2c6a868d207469d3000d30feb.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/28781">What makes the A105 so special, according to Arcadia Yachts, is how the design and build teams are creating an even stronger connection between the interior and the yacht’s surroundings. Arcadia has managed to increase glass surfaces for a greater visible field when enjoying the interior without sacrificing the strong emphasis on solar-generated power for which the brand has become known for.<img src="/uploads/store/photo/28780/image/large-09bc2ed847efe723903d78dae84f2372.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/28780">The layout too has been improved and guests can now look forward to an even smoother flow of traffic throughout the vessel.
