The Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta 2023 will be returning from 6 to 10 June for its 16th edition, held in the glorious waters surrounding Sardinia.

The 30.2-metre sailing yacht Rapture has been sold thanks to Edmiston representing the seller and Pegaso Srl representing the buyer.

Her exterior was designed by Farr Yacht Designs and features a large sail plan and a modern deck house design.&nbsp;She is a SWS 100DS advanced composite yacht, with a top speed of 15 knots top and a cruising speed of 10.5 knots.&nbsp;At the time of sale, <a data-gid="gid://syiq/Yacht/1082" href="#managed-by-system" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" title="Farewell30.2m (99'1&quot;)">Farewell</a> was listed at an asking price of €3,850,000.&nbsp;

Ocean Independence announces the sale of the 30.2m sailing yacht Farewell

A perfect day marked the beginning of the XII edition of the Southern Wind Shipyard Trophy, hosted by the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta in the gorgeous setting of Porto Cervo, Sardinia.A constant wind from north west took the SWS fleet in a 31 mile long captivating route around La Maddalena Islands. Two days of intensive training enabled the crews on board the six competing vessels to test the yachts, settling and organising the positions on board.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/148933/image/large-1e75344f72ef0ca85a2e5966094be743.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/148933">From the very first leg upwind the ranking took shape, and SW82 Grande Orazio outstripped all the other yachts in the fleet. SW100 Cape Arrow gave an excellent performance, confirming her undisputed leadership of her 2012 trophy.Peter Holmberg, winner of the America's Cup in 2007 as tactician, has managed the regatta skillfully from the first buoy. First racing day of the Southern Wind Shipyard Trophy

The XII edition of the Southern Wind Trophy will be held in Porto Cervo from the 3rd until the 7th June during the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta.After eight successful editions held in the waters of Capri Island, the SWS Trophy moved to Porto Cervo in 2008. The event offers five days of breathtakingly coastal races and five nights of exclusive social programs in La Maddalena Archipelago. June 5th will see Southern Wind owners and their crews meeting at Poltu Quatu for the exclusive SWS dinner party.<img alt="" src="https://syt-store-production.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/photo/148799/image/large-8ecef16f90fb0457e1a70724fc0dbda3.jpg" data-gid="gid://syiq/Photo/148799">"We are happy with this formula," says Willy Persico, CEO of Southern Wind. "It gives our owners a chance to fraternise and is a showcase for our performance cruiser yachts in a context where they shine even in the eyes of owners of yachts from other shipyards”.With 8 yachts registered, Southern Wind will represent almost one third of the participants to the race. The forth unit of the SW 100 DS successful mini-serie was launched.
