100m Feadship motor yacht Moonrise launched

This morning, Feadship unveiled its latest superyacht when the 99.95-metre motor yacht Moonrise (project 1008) launched at the Dutch builder's shipyard in Makkum. The design by Studio De Voogt is characterised by a familiar plumb bow and clean deck lines running from bow to stern, dressed in a light grey hull finish and crisp white superstructure.Feadship yacht Moonrise launch in MakkumPhoto: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesInside, the yacht's impressive beam of 15.5 metres gives way to an airy interior by Rémi Tessier Design where Moonrise can accommodate up to 16 guests across eight splendid staterooms. In addition, up to 32 crew can live on board in high-end crew quarters.Feadship Porject 1008 Moonrise launch in MakkumPhoto: FeadshipFeadship yacht Moonrise launch in MakkumPhoto: Charl van Rooy / SuperYacht TimesUnderneath her sleek exterior, Moonrise hides smart features such as a heat recovery system for a more efficient use of power throughout the vessel and an eco-friendly dynamic positioning system when in marine sensitive areas. This was achieved through custom-designed propellers and underwater appendages. These not only reduce noise, but also greatly adds to Moonrise's efficiency as a long-range cruising superyacht. Moonrise can reach up to 19.5 knots at top speed and is designed to cruise comfortably at 16 knots.
