The 40-metre racing sailing yacht My Song that was damaged last week after it fell overboard from the transport ship it was travelling on arrived in Palma de Mallorca today where it was hauled out of the water for the first time since the incident. Baltic Yachts, who launched the yacht at its shipyard in 2016, is known to have a repair facility in Palma de Mallorca and are “standing by to offer all assistance requested,” according to Baltic CEO, Henry Hawkins. “We are all devastated by this tragic accident and our thoughts are with the client at this time.”Photo: SYT Reader
Not commenting on the fate of the vessel at this time, Hawkins confirmed that it will now be up to the insurance company and the yacht’s owner to determine the next step in the process after careful considerations have been made. Photo: SYT ReaderPhoto: SYT Reader
