Balk Shipyard sold to Chinese investors to finance growth in the European and Asian markets
Balk Shipyard has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Zhongying Int’l Holding Group Ltd, which now owns all the shares of the Dutch shipyard and will finance a large expansion.
Lloyd Werft Shipyard files for bankruptcy
Lloyd Werft has filed for Bankruptcy. The filing will impact more than 300 employees and trainees that are currently employed by the company.
STURGE & TOTH unveil the Gladius superyacht range with Y.CO
International design studio STURGE & TOTH has unveiled the Gladius superyacht range in collaboration with Y.CO. The range will offer three different platforms, a 43m, a 62m and a 74m.
Wider announces plans for new shipyard in Fano

Already, after just one month, 2022 has seen the sale of 41 yachts in the 24m+ category. Out of these 41, were 5 sailing yachts – the largest of which was Perini Navi's 56m Zenji. The remaining sales were, of course, all motor yachts. Feadship launched their first yacht of 2022 from their facility in Amsterdam this month, the 71.10-metre Juice, formerly known under her build number 820. The exterior lines of Juice are from the drawing board of British design studio RWD, while her naval architecture was penned by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects, and her interior design was directed by Peter Marino.

A fire broke out at the Ferretti shipyard in Cattolica, Italy on the 11th January. According to a local news report, the fire destroyed a 30-metre superyacht which was ready for delivery.
